cpu dust enclosure
Hickory, North Carolina
The bubble room is pressurized which keeps much of the dust from intruding into our office space but you can’t keep it all out – I carry a fair amount in on my clothing, particularly when the router is running. After kicking around a couple of different solutions I settled on this enclosure. Filter cloth is glued to the interior of the frame and the ends are held on with hook & loop tape (helps seal the joints too.) The back frame is further split into two parts which makes gathering up all the cables at the back pretty simple – they can feed through gaskets at the top and bottom depending on their destination. A tad SciFi channel it seems happy here in the bubble room and I’m definitely glad dust is no longer building up in my new HP 4300 workstation.
